Maggie Furbay is a Maryland photographer specialized in the photography of Thoroughbred race horses and equine portraits. Maggie Kimmitt Furbay has been involved with horses since early childhood as an owner, Combined Training competitor, and now as an enthusiastic equine photographer. Her passion for Thoroughbred racing has taken her to major racetracks all along the Eastern seaboard - Saratoga, Belmont, Aqueduct, Monmouth, Colonial Downs, Philadelphia Park, Delaware Park - where she has photographed some of the country's premier stakes races. She is based at Pimlico and Laurel Park where she assists renowned Maryland Jockey Club photographer Jim McCue. Her work has been published by Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred magazine and Steeplechase Times, and has been exhibited at the National Museum of Racing in Saratoga Springs, New York.
